FAQ
What is PLA filament?
PLA (Polylactic Acid) is the most popular beginner-friendly 3D printing filament made from renewable corn starch/sugarcane. It’s low-temperature, low-shrinkage, odor-free, easy to print with almost all FDM 3D printers.
What printer is PLA compatible with?
Works with all standard FDM 3D printers (Creality, Ender, Prusa, Anycubic, Elegoo, Flashforge etc.) equipped with standard brass nozzles. Not recommended for high-temperature industrial printers without cooling system.
What sizes do you offer for PLA filament?
Standard sizes: 1.75mm (most consumer printers) / 3.0mm. Tolerance ±0.03mm for consistent extrusion, no clogging. All spools are 1kg net weight.
What temperature for PLA?
Nozzle 190–230°C, bed 40–60°C, fan full speed
Is PLA beginner friendly?
Yes, low odor, low warp, easy setup
Can PLA be recycled?
Yes, shred failed prints for re-extrusion
Storage & Shelf Life
Q: Does PLA absorb moisture? How to store it?
A: PLA slowly absorbs humidity, causing bubbling and rough prints. Store in an airtight dry box with desiccant, reseal the vacuum bag after use, and avoid direct sunlight and damp environments.
Q: What is the shelf life of PLA filament?
A: 2-year shelf life for unopened vacuum-sealed spools. Opened PLA is best used within 6 months with proper dry storage.
Q: How to dry wet PLA filament?
A: Use a professional filament dehydrator at 45–50°C for 4–6 hours. Do not use high-temperature ovens to avoid melting the filament and spool.
Material Feature & Post-Processing
Q: Is PLA heat-resistant and durable?
A: PLA is rigid but brittle, with a heat resistance of approx 50°C. It deforms under high temperature (hot car, direct sun). Choose ABS/ASA for high-temperature usage scenarios.
Q: Is your PLA food-safe?
A: Made of food-grade raw resin. However, 3D printed layer gaps may trap bacteria, so it is NOT recommended for long-term food contact or tableware. Perfect for decor, prototypes and toys.
Q: Can I sand, paint and glue PLA prints?
A: Fully able. Wet sanding for smooth surfaces, acrylic spray paint for coloring, and super glue for perfect part bonding.
Q: Is PLA printing safe?
A: PLA releases almost no toxic fumes, far safer than ABS. Normal ventilation is enough for long-time printing.
Shipping Policy
Q: How long is the order processing time?
A: All orders are processed within 1–5 business days after payment. Weekend and holiday orders will be processed on the next working day with strict pre-shipment quality inspection.
Q: Do I need to pay customs duties and import taxes?
A: Import duties and local taxes are the buyer’s responsibility. We do not cover relevant fees caused by customs clearance.
Return, Refund & Exchange
Q: What is your return & refund warranty period?
A: We offer a 14-day return and refund policy from the delivery date. Only unused, unopened, original vacuum-sealed PLA with complete packaging is eligible for return/exchange.
Q: Do you offer free replacement for quality defects?
A: Yes. Free full refund or replacement for manufacturing defects including inconsistent diameter, tangled/broken filament, defective spools, and wrong item shipment. No restocking fee.
Q: What situations are non-returnable?
A: Opened/used/consumed filaments, damage from improper printing operation or wrong settings, damage from humid storage/sun exposure, custom/bulk/clearance orders, and subjective dislike without quality issues are non-returnable.
Q: Who bears the return shipping fee?
A: We cover shipping fees for quality problem returns. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs for personal reason returns.
Q: Can I exchange my PLA filament?
A: Eligible orders support free color/size exchange. Exchange shipping rules follow the same return policy standards.
